Robert Smith Wins 2007 CLR Windy City Classic

Hollywood , Fla. - Nov. 25, 2007, Robert Smith took first place at CLR Windy City Classic at Hawthorn Lanes, Vernon Hills, Illinois. Robert received $25,000 and a 2008-09 season exemption for the win.

Smith is coming off a year where he was limited to bowling in only four PBA Tour events due to a hip injury.  He has proven that his form is better than ever, with a second place finish in the Boss Plows/ Mid States Truck Open Regional and a win at the CLR Windy City Classic (his seventh career title).

Robert recently signed a record breaking endorsement deal with Elite Bowling International. The deal requires him to use the company's ball in competition. With Elite's Green Alien ball in hand, Robert was able to beat Pete Weber on Friday night's position round to earn the top seed for Sunday's show. Smith went on to oust Brad Angelo in the final, which ESPN televised on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
